Dr. Wendy Hulko from British Columbia
Dr. Hulko is a Professor at Thompson Rivers University, where she teaches in the Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Arts in Human Rights and Social Justice. Dr. Hulko holds degrees in Sociology and Spanish, Social Work (MSW), and Sociology and Social Policy (PhD) and has worked with older adults for over 30 years as a care aide, hospital social worker, government policy advisor, educator, and researcher. Dr. Hulko conducts interdisciplinary research on aging, dementia, and health care with practitioners, decision-makers, and equity-denied groups, including Secwepemc Elders, racialized older adults, sexual and gender minorities, and rural residents.

Jane is an international leader and dementia expert with a focus on the psychological and emotional care of people with dementia. Now living in Melbourne, Australia, Jane is originally from Denmark with roots in the Scandinavian Health Care System. She has a background in Occupational Therapy, is a Family Therapist in Advanced Systems Theory, a Master Practitioner in NLP – (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and an internationally certified Professional Speaker.
