Dr. George Stothart, PhD Principal Scientist at Cumulus NeuroscienceSenior Lecturer & Researcher at the University of Bath, Bath, England
Dr. George Stothart is a cognitive neuroscientist who translates the findings of cognitive neuroscience into useful tools for clinicians and the wider world. His primary research focus is the development of a new EEG technique, known as Fastball, for the assessment of cognitive deficits in dementia. He completed his PhD in the School of Experimental Psychology at the University of Bristol. Dr. Stothart is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of Bath and a Senior Research Fellow at Cumulus Neuroscience Ltd. Dementia is diagnosed too late, up to 20 years after the disease has begun. Quicker, more accurate ways to diagnose dementia are greatly needed so patients can get treatments earlier and plan for their future. Dr. Stothart will introduce 2025 Symposium attendees to Fastball, a cutting-edge new technique for the early detection and diagnosis of dementia.
