Matthew Goerke is regarded as one of America’s leading experts in the field of memory development. He is the creator of the Memory Switch program, which he will share with Symposium attendees. Goerke will explain the effectiveness of mnemonic devices, share mental exercises to stimulate the portion of the brain where memories are stored, and discuss how to stay focused and remember important information.

Dr. Molly Mather, PhD Northwestern University

Secrets of SuperAgers

Dr. Molly Mather is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in neuropsychological assessment of dementia syndromes and other age-related disorders. Her research focuses on characterizing neuropsychological trajectories of aging, ranging from dementia and neurodegenerative disease to exceptional cognitive aging. Dr. Mather will focus on the latter – SuperAgers – sharing what is unique about this population and what we can learn from the way these exceptional brains age.
